Discover Maui’s North Shore on a guided E-bike adventure from Paia. This relaxed 10–12 mile round-trip ride combines local culture, hidden beaches, and some of the island’s most beautiful coastal locations.
With electric pedal assist, you’ll comfortably travel between North Shore highlights while your guide leads you off the beaten path to scenic oceanfront areas, beach access points, and local gems that many visitors never discover. Along the way, you’ll visit Baldwin Beach and Kanaha Beach Park, and a local fruit and flower stand while learning about Maui’s history, culture, and island lifestyle.
This 2.5-hour guided adventure offers a unique way to experience Maui’s North Shore, blending hidden coastal beauty, local insight, and authentic island charm into one unforgettable ride.
Itinerary Overview
1. Check-In at Our Paia Shop – 9:45AM
Start your day in the laid-back North Shore surf town of Paia. Your guide will outfit you with a premium E-bike, helmet, backpack, lock, and gloves, with optional rain and wind gear available if needed. After a brief safety orientation, you’ll set off to explore Maui’s beautiful North Shore.
2. Access Maui’s Hidden Beaches
Ride to hidden beaches, quiet shoreline areas, and scenic ocean viewpoints that many visitors never discover.
3. Explore Baldwin Beach Park
Visit one of Maui’s longest white-sand beaches and take in expansive views of the stunning North Shore.
4. Roll by QUIET BEAUTIFUL BEACHES
Find calm waters, peaceful atmosphere, and coastal scenery.
5. Experience Kanaha Beach Park
Take in ocean views, walk the shoreline, and relax at one of Maui’s most iconic beach parks.
6. Visit a Local Fruit & Flower Stand
Browse a local farm stand featuring tropical fruits, fresh flowers, honey, and Maui-grown products.
7. Return to Paia – 12:30PM
Return to Paia with lasting memories and a deeper connection to Maui’s North Shore.
ABILITY LEVEL:
This tour is suitable for most riders with basic bicycle experience. The electric pedal-assist bikes make riding comfortable and enjoyable, while the mostly flat route follows a mix of bike paths and local roads. Riders should be comfortable riding a bicycle and sharing the road with light traffic.
LIMITATIONS:
- Riders must be confident and comfortable riding a bike
- Minimum Age 15 years old (per Maui County Law.)
- Minimum Height requirement 4’11”
- Under 18 must be accompanied with an adult at all times
- No Pregnant Riders
- Maximum Rider Weight: 280lbs
All Maui guided bike tour routes are subject to change due to weather and/or rider ability. This decision often isn’t made until the morning of the ride; your guide will keep you informed of any changes

DETAILS:
- 9:45am-10am: Check-in at our Paia shop for gear fitting and safety briefing. (Late arrivals risk not being able to participate, as we cannot hold the group.)
- E-Bike Adventure: Ride alongside a local cycling guide. See Maui’s famous North Shore & learn history. With optional stops for beaches, snacks and photos. This ride experience can be tailored to you and your group’s ability level and interests.
- Start & End Point: Maui Sunriders Bike Co, 71 Baldwin Ave, Paia, HI 96779
- Distance: 10-12 miles roundtrip
- Elevation: Mostly Flat
- Duration: 2.5 hours
- 12:30pm: Return to Paia, where your ride ends.

A comfortable, easy-to-ride electric cruiser featuring pedal assist up to 28 mph, a step-through frame, hydraulic disc brakes, integrated lights, and a range of 40+ miles. Perfect for relaxed Maui adventures.

FAQs
How many guides will I have?
For 1-8 riders, we provide 1 guide.
Do guided tours have vehicle support?
Our ebike tours DO NOT have vehicle support. Our guides will have basic repair kits and are well-versed in performing basic repairs. We are also never too far from one of our bike shops and can get assistance if needed.
Is there an age minimum for an e-bike tour?
Yes. All guided road tour participants must be at least 15 years old per Maui County Law.
What if it's windy or rainy?
We ride rain or shine! The weather on Maui is notorious for changing in the blink of an eye. If it is possible we may call to re-schedule as long as we have the availability.
If you opt out of the ride due to weather, there is no refund.
If we make the decision to cancel a ride due to weather, we will first look to reschedule for a another day. If you are unable to reschedule, we will refund 100% of the cost.
Do you provide hydration/nutrition?
All our tours start at one of our bike shops – we have additional water and bike snacks available for purchase before heading out to ride.
Your guide will also let you know of opportunities to purchase food & water along your ride. Some routes have more frequent opportunities than others.
Do routes vary?
Typically, no. However, on any given day the route is subject to change based on any of the following factors:
- Rider(s) ability level
- Rider(s) interests
This is not to say that riders dictate where you’ll go; rather, your guide will work with you to facilitate the best possible riding experience for you and your group.
